This highly anticipated headline run commences in Hollywood, FL at Hard Rock Live on September 28, 2010 with Five Finger Death Punch & Drowning Pool giving the band support on various dates.
Godsmack’s stage show has become legendary, setting off an explosion of hard rock anthems with pyrotechnics and staggering presence. This marks the Massachusetts quartet's first proper cross-country trek since The Oracle was released on May 5, 2010, and it's bound to be one for the books. The band has also teamed with I Love All Access to provide a variety of fan ticket packages for the show, including premium seats, meet and greets, photo ops, parties and more. Coming off the success of "Cryin' Like a Bitch," GODSMACK 's latest number one rock radio single, "Love Hate Sex Pain," hit radio on July 12 and is already inside the Top Ten. The band's blistering live show is going to steamroll the masses with new classics as well as staples like "Whatever," "Awake" and "Straight Out of Line."
The Oracle debuted at number one on the Billboard Top 200, selling 117,000 copies in its first week. The album was the band's third consecutive release to debut at number one, following Faceless in 2003 and IV in 2006. In addition, the new album climbed to the top of the iTunes album release chart moving in excess of 23,000 digital copies.
GODSMACK remains one of the most popular modern hard rock acts. Since their self-titled debut in 1998, the band has sold over 15 million records worldwide and racked up 19 top ten rock radio hits with 15 songs hitting the Top Five and 5 reaching number 1.

Hey all!
Thanks for your patience on awaiting my new record AVALON, I know it has been a long time coming for all of you. I'm very happy to say that as of Sept. 14, 2010, you will be able to finally get your hands on this amazing record!
I truly believe that this is my best work to date. I'm more proud of this record than any other music I have ever recorded. It is so pure and organic, every ounce of my blood, sweat and tears has been poured into this body of work. Without a doubt, I have completely exposed myself in this album. More importantly, it's just a very cool musical journey you go on when you listen through.
Although, as I've said before, I must emphasize that THIS IS NOT A ROCK RECORD!!! This is a series of beautifully arranged compositions that I have created over many years. Some compositions are newer, written with the help of my solo band mates. Others have been shelved over time waiting for the right moment to be released. That moment is finally here, and I couldn't be more proud to share it with all of you!
This record was recorded with all hand drums, cellos, flutes, piano, etc... It is very eclectic and intellectual. It is something that you will want to put on when you're in the mood to lie on your couch, dim the lights, and light all your candles and incense. Just vibe out to this hypnotic variety of music, and enjoy the pictures that will be painted in your mind. This is a very visual record, so for sure the visuals will come. Don't be surprised if it triggers some deep emotions within you based on your own life situations. Either way, enjoy the ride, it's a beautiful one!!
If I could ask one simple favor of all of you, I would ask for you to please pass this music on to as many people as you can. Spread the word that there is a great new record out, and if they don't have it yet, they are missing out on a real musical experience.
This album was a combination of work that took me almost 7 years to complete, and it deserves to be heard all over the world, help me make that dream come true.

Earlier this month Shannon called into The BJ Morning Experience on Seattle's KISW 99.9FM. If you missed this great interview, you can download it here. The two talk about everything from The Oracle, to touring and the story of how "Cryin Like A Bitch" came to be. Other surprises include Shannon's drumming influence and an internet star drummer who he apparently influenced. 
Due to the massive oil spill in the Gulf region Godsmack will join Korn in their boycott of BP fuel. Other large named rock bands who have joined the protest include Disturbed, Megadeth, Rob Zombie and all 12 bands comprising of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival lineup. Given the number of artists that won't be using BP fuel this summer, first estimates suggest that close to 100 tour buses and vehicles will be a part of the boycott.
Korn singer Jonathan Davis stressed that the message the bands are sending "should tell all the oil companies to spend the money and take the necessary precautions to make sure this doesn't happen again." Davis added that he was "really proud that this many artists have already come on board, and I hope more will join soon." 
The organizers of Bayfest 2010 have added Godsmack as one of their top acts for the 16 annual festival taking place on the Pepsi Stage in Mobile, AL on October 1. Tickets haven't gone on sale yet but keep checking the Tour page for updates. 
August is heating up with two new shows added to Godsmack's Tour schedule. On August 28, they will perform for 99.9 KISW's Pain In The Grass festival at the White River Amphitheatre in Auburn, WA. Then on August 29, it's KUFO's Rockfest XIV at the Washington County Fairplex in Hillsboro, OR. Tickets are on sale now for both events.

We're only a few weeks into 2010 and it's already shaping up to be one of the most mind-blowing ever for Godsmack fans everywhere. Late last week, it was announced that the band's fifth studio album will be released later this year and more details, including the title, will be revealed soon.
Godsmack is also unleashing 15 behind-the-scene webisodes about the new album, produced and directed by long time Godsmack video producer Daniel E Catullo III, the first of which premiered on Rockpit.com last Friday.
The second webisode airs tonight at 8 pm EST only on Rockpit.com and this time, the Boston bad boys talk about the difference in their songwriting process for this record, their love of cookies and even play a song clip!
