Hey Smackers!
Everybody ready for UPROAR? I know I am it's seems to be coming up fast for me! I can't wait it's the day after my anniversary! SWEET!!! It is the best anniversary present ever!! Godsmack is my ALL TIME favorite band. Their music has helped me through a lot over the years. A 9yr abusive relationship prior to my husband the death of my mom last year. I keep thinking about what Sully said at his solo show here at the Riviera Theater in May, he asked us to explain to him how music has made a difference in your life and how it has affected you. I so tried to get picked to talk to him. The people chosen didn't even come close to answering the question right. Well maybe 1 but that was it. My answer is: Godsmacks music has passion it has real life in it. It changed how I look at things. When I first heard them back in 98' I just knew there was something special there it was like he was singing about my life. I started to understand why I didn't need that abuser in my life. Then I went to my 1st show 3 days after 9/11 and Sully came out there was a moment of silence for the victims and then he announced how all the proceeds of the show from merch to tixs would be given to the victims families. I was awed. That is so amazing. How can you not like these guys. I had party passes and got to meet them afterward and what a bunch of humble and sweet guys. We had access to the drinks in the tent and they came around and talked with us and signed our stuff. I was so shy when it came time to meet Sully. But he was as sweet and nice as can be. My 1st meet and greet and definitely one I WILL NEVER FORGET!! That is why I keep going to Godsmack shows and being a loyal fan. Thanks for reading and Thank You Godsmack for making MY dream come true. SMACKETTE FOR LIFE!!!!!!

Humble... yes.
Badass....yes.
And how music affects our lives, any artist really, songs smack people at some point. To shed a tear, to smile for a memory, to laugh for joy.
And GS, no other band gets the crowd going, when you leave, you love them more. You thought you already loved them enough but when you leave, it's love them more! I too had a fabulous experience with Sully's Avalon and a GS show M&G, a down to earth great bunch of guys.
have an amazing time, happy anniversary too :)
